Tropical Island is one of the ten original dual lands from Beta, producing both Blue and Green mana without entering the battlefield tapped. Beta copies are distinguished by their rounded corners and slightly darker card stock compared to Alpha, and are among the most sought-after versions of the dual lands. PSA 9 examples are exceptionally rare given Beta's age and the card's heavy play history.
