Badlands
1993 Beta
Badlands is a coveted Original Dual Land from the Beta set, producing both Black and Red mana without any drawback beyond entering tapped under certain conditions. As one of the rarest and most powerful mana-fixing lands in Magic's history, Beta copies are significantly scarcer than Revised counterparts due to the smaller print run and the distinctive black-bordered card frame. PSA 9 examples are exceptionally desirable as Beta cards are notoriously difficult to grade due to printing imperfections and edge wear.
HOLD to BUY — Beta Dual Lands in PSA 9 represent some of the strongest long-term holds in the MTG collectible market; supply is permanently fixed and collector demand continues to grow steadily. The black-red dual sees Legacy play in Reanimator and BR Stompy strategies. One of the more accessible duals in Revised from a price standpoint, making it a smart starting point for collectors building toward the full cycle. Alpha and Beta copies command strong premiums in any grade. Long-term scarcity dynamics are identical to the rest of the cycle — all 10 duals will only get harder to find in high grades.
