Bayou
1993 Alpha
Bayou is a Black/Green dual land from the original Alpha print run, one of the ten original dual lands that produce two colors of mana without entering the battlefield tapped. Alpha copies are distinguished by their rounded corners, darker print quality, and extreme scarcity compared to Beta and Unlimited printings. PSA 9 examples are exceptionally rare given Alpha's notoriously difficult centering and print quality standards.
HOLD/BUY — Alpha dual lands represent the pinnacle of MTG collectibility with a finite, ever-shrinking supply of high-grade copies; Bayou is among the less-played duals but Alpha prestige and scarcity make it a strong long-term store of value. The black-green dual and a Legacy staple in Depths combo, Reanimator, and BUG strategies. Revised copies trade at a modest discount to the blue duals making Bayou one of the better value entries into the dual land market. Alpha and Beta copies are scarce in high grades. Strong long-term hold — black-green remains one of the most popular Legacy color combinations.
